Rovers youngster Joe Grayson has completed a loan move to Oxford United for the remainder of the season.
The young defender has previously played first-team football with Grimsby Town in the fourth tier of English football, but has since been unlucky with injuries, spending over a year out between 2019 and 2020.
With just eight professional appearances, he will be looking to get more experience under his belt in League One with the U’s.

Grayson has captained Rovers U23s for some time, and will turn 22 in March. With new defensive recruits (hopefully) arriving at Brockhall, he will really benefit from more first-team action elsewhere.
Speaking to the official Oxford United website, Grayson said: “It’s funny how it all worked out. I think we were both watching the Oxford v Fleetwood game on Saturday for different reasons!
“I’m excited to have signed and to have this opportunity. Oxford are on such a good run at the moment and I’ve been very impressed with everything I have seen here. I am really looking forward to being part of things and doing my best to help the team.”
