We’re back with our ‘Loan Watch’ series, which will run every week to cover how Rovers’ out-on-loan contingent are performing.
There’s been plenty of action since we last caught up, so let’s dive straight into it!
The veteran defender has featured twice in the past seven days, but with varying degrees of success.
Mulgrew got through 63 minutes on Tuesday night, helping Fleetwood keep a clean sheet in their goalless draw at home to Northampton.
However, it was a short and disappointing day for Mulgrew as he was sent off with just six minutes on the clock in the Cod Army’s 1-0 defeat at Oxford.
There was just one fixture for Chapman, as he started in the number ten role behind the front two, and it worked wonders for the ‘Starman’ as he scored twice in the Shrews’ 2-0 home victory over Peterborough.
There’s been no action for Hayden Carter and his Burton Albion side, with the Brewers reporting several cases of positive COVID tests, postponing their League One fixtures this week.
Lyons missed out on the Shrimpers’ 2-0 victory away to Exeter in mid-week, but the Northern Ireland-born midfielder was used as a substitute in Morecambe’s home match with defeat.
The midfielder was brought on in the 87th minute as Derek Adams’ side fell to a 1-0 defeat, leaving them sixth in the League Two table.
After returning from a seven-day loan spell with Fleetwood Town, Hilton headed north of the border to Ross County.
He was an unused substitute in their defeat to Motherwell, and is likely to get a chance in the coming weeks.
White is without an appearance for Bolton since mid-December, and his future still hangs in the balance.
Wanderers manager Ian Evatt commented on the midfielder’s future: “They’re still ongoing, I think that will go right up until the last day of the window really. I would think there will be some sort of announcement but not until very late.”
