Born locally, Sam Barnes has been with the club since the age of 11, and has progressed quickly through the ranks to become a regular part of Billy Barr's U23s side.
In the 2018-19 side, he captained the U18s in their FA Youth Cup run, before spending time out on loan with Marine AFC.
Last season saw Sam Barnes become a mainstay in the U23 side, making 12 appearances across the Premier League 2 season, scoring once in a 5-3 victory away to Brighton And Hove Albion U23s.
