To help raise money for a Rovers fan in need, we are running a football card-style competition with a winning prize of a Blackburn Rovers football signed by the 2019-21 squad – a great prize for any Rovers fan, and sure to have future collectors value given the events that unfolded during the season as COVID-19 struck, bringing the season to a halt halfway through the football calendar.

Entering is easy:

1. Pick your choice of Rovers player from the grid/link below – the top 100 appearance makers by Rovers in the top flight – or pick a number between 1 and 100, or ask for a random number to be assigned.

2. Donate £5 to the cause using the Paypal link below and include your name, email address, and player or number selected in the comments with the payment – if that player/number has already been taken you’ll be assigned a number/player at random using a random number generator:

Paypal will be used to collect the money, and once all 100 slots have been filled the pool will be transferred to the GoFundMe page being using for donations (https://uk.gofundme.com/f/help-to-cure-lacy-of-lyme) – if you wish to donate more, please feel free to do so either via the PayPal or GoFundMe links.

3. Once all 100 players have been taken, we’ll use a random number generator to pick a number between 1 and 100 – whoever has the winning player/number will win the signed football (pictured above) and we’ll be in touch via email to obtain details for posting the prize out to you.

The Cause:

Tom Cowgill is a lifelong Rovers fan from Blackburn who used to have a season ticket in the Walkersteel Stand and now lives across the pond in Jackson, California. Unfortunately, Tom’s wife, Lacy, was diagnosed with chronic Lyme Disease last year.

Lyme is one of the most unrecognised and misdiagnosed diseases out there and has left her bedridden most days, at under 40 years old. Unfortunately, in the USA, the FDA don’t recognise it as an official disease, and as such it isn’t covered under most health insurance policies. In order bill. For further information see Lacy’s GoFundMe page: https://uk.gofundme.com/f/help-to-cure-lacy-of-lyme

Blackburn Rovers have kindly donated the signed ball to help raise funds and it would be great if the Rovers supporter community could come together and raise some much-need funds for a great cause.
