Since joining the club in 2010 as the Head Of Education and Player Care, Stuart Jones has progressed through to be the man leading the entire Academy operation at Brockhall.

Now into his fourth calendar year in the ‘Head Of Academy’ role at Rovers, Jones plays a vital part in bringing through the next Darragh Lenihan, Ryan Nyambe or Joe Rankin-Costello.

We had the pleasure of sitting down with Stuart Jones for an hour or so, in which we recorded two videos:

Podcast: Stuart joins us to discuss his career and his progression through the roles in Rovers’ academy. He also touches on the promising talents coming through, what it’s like managing hundreds of players coming through the different age groups and more!

Q&A Video: Stuart answers the questions our followers (@academy_rovers on Twitter if you haven’t followed already) asked, including recruiting players from other clubs, the new rules surrounding Brexit and more!

Released 7th December at 5pm on YouTube

We are hosting a special live stream on Tuesday 27 July to raise some much needed funds for our charity partner 'Sporting Minds UK', who provide much needed mental health support for sportspeople.

There are plenty of prizes up for grabs, including a signed pair of boots from Elliott Bennett and signed shirts from John Buckley and Joe Rothwell.

To donate, please visit rcdonate.com and give whatever you can to help support this wonderful cause. Thank you.
