Hartlepool boss Dave Challinor has said he is “hopeful” of extending Tyler Magloire’s loan with the club.
The 22-year-old’s loan spell with the National League side ended following their 3-1 victory over Wealdstone at the weekend.
Magloire played the full 90 minutes in that victory, his tenth appearance in league and cup competitions for the Pools.
Speaking to the Hartlepool Mail, Challinor said: “Hopefully he won’t go back. We’ve had positive conversations with Blackburn so we’re waiting for them to come back.

“With his loan being up, we’re on a tight schedule whether that happens in time for Tuesday. Things work differently at Blackburn with their owners being over in India, things need to be passed across.
“I know they had a meeting on Friday and we’re hopeful of doing something but if that’s not the case then we need to make a change for Tuesday.
“It’s not one we’ve given up on, we’re hopeful something will get done and if that’s in time for Tuesday then great.”
Magloire came through the ranks at Rovers, joining the club at the age of nine.
He spent time on loan with League One side Rochdale last season, but injury forced him to return to Ewood.
The defender made his Rovers debut back in March 2019 in a 3-0 victory over Wigan Athletic, but after struggling for game time in the early months of this season due to injury and players ahead of him, he headed out on loan to Hartlepool in November 2020.
