Ratings: Dolan and Trybull stand out in Millwall win

Ryan Richardson hands out his ratings as Rovers return to winning ways with a victory over Millwall…

Thomas Kaminski 7

The Belgian had a relatively quiet afternoon, but when he was called upon, he did his job perfectly. A much needed-clean sheet.

Very good performance after a long time out. Grabbed the assist for the first goal and was really pleasing to see him back out on the pitch.

Darragh Lenihan 8

A real captain’s performance. He was a real rock at the back, and he limited Millwall’s big physical strikers to very few chances.

Taylor Harwood-Bellis 7

His best performance thus far in a Rovers shirt. He was calm and composed on the ball and dealt with Millwall’s big physical threats, especially with a fantastic block towards the end to deny Matt Smith.

Barry Douglas

A very solid performance from the left-back, who managed to neutralise Jed Wallace extremely well and provided another outlet going forward.

Tom Trybull 8

Another player who had his best performance in a Rovers shirt. The German controlled everything in the midfield and broke up any attack that Millwall tried to make coming through the middle.

John Buckley 7

Struggled in the first 15 minutes of the game, but then played his way into it, linking up play with the forward options and gliding past players. Put in a solid performance before being substituted.

Bradley Dack 7

Fantastic to see him back on the scoresheet with a lovely little turn on the edge of the box. He looked a lot more like his old self playing in his natural position.

Sam Gallagher 8

Another one who was great to see on the scoresheet, even if it was extremely lucky. Put in a real shift like he always does, helping get the team forward with his driving runs.

Tyrhys Dolan 9 (MAN OF THE MATCH)

Man of the match today. Playing in an unfamiliar role as the lone striker but put in an outstanding performance. His trickery and skill tore apart the Millwall defence, and he was able to play with his back towards goal and bring other players in. All that was missing was a goal.

Ben Brereton 7

He was slightly quiet this game compared to the previous ones, but he worked hard for the team and won free kicks, driving at the defence looking to take on men.

Ryan Nyambe (on 62 mins, replacing Joe Rankin-Costello) 6

Did his job after replacing Joe Rankin-Costello, remaining solid defensively to grind out the win.

Joe Rothwell (on 71 mins, replacing Bradley Dack) 6

Should have been more selfish when he was through on goal instead of squaring the ball to Dolan. but did nothing wrong when on the pitch.

Bradley Johnson (on 71 mins, replacing John Buckley) 5

Helped see the match out towards the end for Rovers on his return from injury.

Harvey Elliott (on 71 mins, replacing Ben Brereton) 6

Didn’t have much to do when he came on to impact the game.

Corry Evans (on 90 mins, replacing Tom Trybull) N/A

Seemed to be a sub to waste time – or to make sure Trybull didn’t pick up his second yellow!
