Rovers U23s will look to extend their unbeaten run to five matches when they host Brighton and Hove Albion this afternoon.
Billy Barr’s side take on the Seagulls at the Leyland County Ground, with Rovers looking to put the pressure on league leaders Manchester City, who sit five points clear at the top of the Premier League 2 table.
Rovers ran out as 3-0 victors away to Arsenal last Friday, with a goal from Connor McBride and a brace from Sam Burns securing a well-deserved victory.

Currently without a manager following Simon Rusk’s departure to Stockport County back in January, Brighton U23s currently sith ninth in the Premier League 2 table, and have six points from their last five matches.
The Seagulls have struggled for consistency this season, and were defeated in injury time the last time the two sides met.
With Rovers U18s back in FA Youth Cup action tomorrow (at home to Arsenal, 12pm kick off), the likes of Jared Harlock and Jake Garrett could be rested in order to feature for Mike Sheron’s side.
Antonis Stergiakis could be in line to start, with the goalkeeping duties split between himself and Jordan Eastham this season.
Meanwhile, Sam Barnes could return to the side following suspension after being dismissed in Rovers’ draw at Tottenham.
Luke Brennan (hamstring) remains on the sidelines, whilst Ben Paton and Dan Butterworth are also expected to be absent.
Predicted XI: Stergiakis, Pike, Barnes, Annesley, Cirino, Saadi, Whitehall, Nolan, Durrant, McBride, Burns
The return of Sam Barnes will only be a positive for Rovers, with the defender impressing this season at the heart of defence.
Rovers are in a confident mood, and against a Brighton side with just eight points of a possible thirty, I’m backing Billy Barr’s side to pick up another win.
Prediction: Rovers U23s 4-1 Brighton And Hove Albion U23s
There will be a live stream available on Rovers’ YouTube channel, with kick off scheduled for 2pm.
