Rochdale’s young midfielder Luke Nock is currently on trial with Rovers, featuring in the U18s’ victory over Derby County on Saturday.
Goals from Ben Fyles, Alex Baker and Jay Haddow gave Mike Sheron’s side all three points at the weekend, with Nock named in the starting eleven.
Nock captained Rochdale U18s to the all the way to the final of the Youth Alliance Cup Northern Area, which they won following a 3-1 victory over Grimsby Town earlier this month.
The 18-year-old signed a two-year scholarship with Rochdale in the summer of 2019, but it was reported that his deal will not be extended with the League One side this summer.

Nock was confirmed as being on trial on the club website following the Derby victory, and he will be looking to impress the academy staff during his time here – although it is unclear how long he will remain at the club.
