Rovers U18s’ seven-match winning streak came to an end, but their unbeaten run continued, as they played out a goalless home draw with Stoke City.
Mike Sheron’s side had won their last seven league matches before the fixture, but neither side could find a way through in this fixture as the match ended goalless.
Rovers had a pretty strong side out, with forwards Zak Gilsenan and Alex Baker enjoying strong seasons, whilst trialist Luke Nock started in the midfield.

The hosts started well as Georgie Gent’s ball into the box was put wide by Gilsenan, before Ben Fyles shot straight at the keeper.
Stoke had chances of their own in the first half, as Felix Goddard denied the Potters’ Jack Griffiths twice, with the sides going into the break level.
After the break, Gilsenan skipped past a couple of Stoke players but he was well denied by Simkim, before Joe Ferguson hit the outside of the post.
The visitors threatened as well as George Pratt did well to clear a Stoke shot off the line, before Goddard made a good save, as the game ended without a goal.
The result leaves Rovers sat ninth in the U18 Premier League table, level on points with Burnley with a game in hand.
Mike Sheron’s side are next in action on Saturday as they take on title chasers Manchester City.
