Three second-half goals saw Rovers U18s return to winning ways as they defeated Newcastle United U18s at Brockhall.
Mike Sheron’s side saw their eight match unbeaten run ended by Manchester City last time out, and they were behind just before the break as the ball fell to Michael Ndiweni a yard out, who prodded home to give the visitors the lead at half-time.
But, Rovers came out strongly and were level within seven minutes of the restart as Zak Gilsenan’s free-kick was turned into the net by Evan Cunningham.
The comeback was completed around fifteen minutes later as some good work from Georgie Gent saw him get free down the line, and he pulled back to Kristi Montgomery, who finished past the keeper.
