Rovers U18s picked up all three points against Leeds U18s yesterday to bring the curtain down on their league season.
Goals from Evan Cunningham and Ben Fyles saw Mike Sheron’s side climb up to fifth in the U18 Premier League North, and only Everton can catch them with their final match, meaning a top half finish is guaranteed for Rovers.
After a tough first half of the season in which they only one won in thirteen matches, a 2-1 win over local rivals Burnley, they have since picked up 28 points out of a possible 33.
The turnaround in the second half of the campaign is something Mike Sheron, his coaching staff and players can be very proud of, and the signs are there for a bright future.
