Brereton makes Chile debut in Copa America draw


Rovers forward Ben Brereton came off the bench to make his Chile debut in tonight’s Copa America tie with Argentina.

The 22-year-old came on with 13 minutes to go in Rio de Janeiro, being involved with the action on a couple of occasions.

Lionel Messi opened the scoring in the first half, before Eduardo Vargas’ strike levelled the scores as both sides took a point in their opening match of the tournament.

‘La Roja’ are next in action on Friday as they take on Bolivia, with the match kicking off at 10pm.
